Little Man layouts

Little Man update

at his 9 month check-up
he weighed 22 lbs
[ please note : Little Lady is 2.5 years older and they are only 5 lbs apart ]
he's quite the little chunker
and oh how i love it

his sweet cheeks when he smiles
and he just exudes joy
always, always happy
[ unless he teething or being tackled by a certain little girl, ahem ]

he's much more snugly than Little Lady
and much more easy going
but she can make him laugh like no one else.
they are such good friends
it melts my heart a little
or a lot :)

i asked Little Lady if she wanted me to have a boy or a girl baby
"I want another [Little Man]."
and then the other night when i was commenting on how she wanted me to have a boy
she said
"I want lots of [Little Mans] and lots of [Little Ladys]."

i laughed.
i guess i'll certainly try my best to make her wish come true

bumbling along ... my quilt project

i haven't posted any pictures
of Little Lady's quilt so far

its been pretty slow going
but i'm thoroughly enjoying the process
- feeling the soft yarn through my fingers -
- watching something be created out of basically nothing -
i do so love to crochet.

its very relaxing for me
and its a wonderful thing to do whilst watching the kids play.

he said "momomommaa ma ma" yesterday
i almost died of joy
i've been trying for months to get him to say mama
and last night he looked up and me and said it
and smiled
and cooed
and won me over, despite the drool :)

we've all been scrapping today
to keep the glooms away
[ only 3 more days until Handsome Man returns ]
Little Lady glues shapes onto paper
Little Man chews on random craft items and toys
and the Momma made this :

i wanted to document a few things that i have been up to lately
i dont usually scrapbook about myself
but hey, i found a not-so-hideous picture
and decided to give it a whirl and a twirl.

well. i'm off.
i have two little chickies that need me :)

but know that i am happy ...

lovely layout : you keep me safe

Handsome Man is absent from our highly-perched nest
he has been gone for a week
and will be gone for another week.
my heart aches, a dull echo

Aunt Gigi spent last weekend with us
to help keep the glooms away
and she got me to print pictures and pull out my papers.
a little scrapbooking is quite therapeutic for the lonely heart.

its been no fun without Handsome Man.
Little Lady cannot understand the daddy's absense
and while she does not suffer from the glooms
- as mommy does -
she is close friends with the grumps.
and Little Man is getting his third tooth
so he's best friends with the whinies.

sigh.

i miss my Handsome Man.

but i have two beautiful chicks
to snuggle with and they keep me safe.

and as i walk around my Handsome-Man-less nest
i have lovely layouts to look at and smile.

[ i am loving the peach, black, and white color combination ... its so lush ]

lovely layout : no idea

i did this layout to document how lost i felt during high school. how i had no idea who i was, what i wanted, etc. etc. don't we all feel that way in high school? blah.

but i liked how it turned out. in the journaling i talk about how NOW i know who i am and what i want.

i used a lot of scraps, bits and bobs from here and there. but the pretty papers behind the photo are from the december JBS kit.

i miss my long hair! i'm growing it out but its taking some time.

i love getting mail

the BEST thing about signing up for a monthly scrapbook kit club, is that you get a package full of pretty things every month!!! imagine my excitement when i got this month's kit from JBS today, YAY.

here she is, in all her glory:

the picture does not do adequate justice. sigh.

saw that : made this

Inspiration is such a funny thing. she flits and flutters and sometimes slams into you so hard that you have to drop everything you're doing and go create something otherwise she'll bottle up inside of you quite painfully! i haven't scrapped in awhile but while browsing through inspiration land, i saw that and made this. :) and quite enjoyed the flit and flutter of it all.

saw that

made this (disclaimer: I could not, for the life of me, find a gluestick. So i just laid everything where I wanted it and will glue it later. and the white space under the photo is blank for journaling, but the words are private hehe so I took a picture before i bore my soul):

everything i used is from the JBSmercantile November Kit except for the frame and lace(vintage) and the flower inside the frame.

jenni bowlin

little lady and i were looking through her scrapbook tonight :) it made me so happy! all those wonderful memories tucked away inside a book that she can flip through now and when she's older.

i decided i need to keep scrapbooking. it's a fun and wonderful way to preserve memories.

after much research i decided on the perfect monthly scrapbook kit for me. i wanted to do a scrapbook kit because they coordinate all the products for me. it saves time :) and its SO fun to get stuff in the mail!

i choose Jenni Bowlin Mercantile kit club, because i love the vintage style and i've always adored her products.

here's the november kit (which i purchased with the membership):

little lady and i will be organizing my craft room in preparation to start scrapbooking our lives!

UPDATE
4 bags of trash and recycle later and the craft room is organized and ready to go!
